Burgunderrotes Spitzenkleid Weihnachten 2018 / Burgundy lace dress X-mas 2018

Dies war mein ersten Spitzenkleid, welches ich für Weihnachten 2018 genäht habe.

Als Schnittmuster habe ich die Jenny Flair von Tinalisa verwendet.
Für diejenigen, welche den Schnitt nicht kennen, hier noch einige grundlegende Informationen dazu. Jenny ist ein Baukasten-Schnittmuster für Grössen 48 - 56. Du wählst ein Basis Schnittmuster z.B. Jenny classic für ein schmales Kleid oder Jenny Flair für ein ausgestelltes Kleid und es gibt noch viele mehr. Dazu kannst Du weitere Ausschnittlösungen oder Ärmel kaufen. Sie passen an alle Basisschnitte. Für die kleineren Grössen gibt es die Version Jennifer (Grösse 34 - 48), welche gleich funktioniert.

Das Schnittmuster wurde für dehnbares Material entwickelt.
Ich musste einige Anpassungen vornehmen,  da sowohl der Spitzenstoff, als auch der Satin für das Unterkleid nicht dehnbar waren.

This was my first lace dress, which I sewed for Christmas 2018.
 
I used the Jenny Flair pattern from Tinalisa.

For those who do not know the pattern, here is some basic information: Jenny is a modular sewing pattern for EU sizes 48 - 56. You choose a basic sewing pattern e.g. Jenny classic for a slim dress or Jenny Flair for a flared dress and there are many more. You can also buy more neckline solutions or sleeves. They match all basic patterns. For the smaller sizes there is the Jennifer version (size 34 - 48), which works the same.
 
The pattern was drafted for knits.

I had to make some adjustments because both, the lace fabric and the satin fabric for the dress underneath were non stretch

Ich werde nur noch einige Dinge erklären, die beim roten Kleid anders waren.

Da ich vor einem Jahr noch ein paar Kilos mehr hatte, hatte ich bei diesem Kleid zusätzlich an der Seitennaht vom Armausschnitt bis zur Taille jeweils 1 cm zugeben. Inzwischen ist das Kleid fast etwas zu weit und wahrscheinlich werde ich es an der Seite etwas einnehmen.

Ich habe für mein Kleid die weitere Rock-Version gewählt.
Die Schnittteile habe ich so aufgelegt, dass die Bogenkante der Spitze den Rocksaum bildet. Dass die Schnittteile am Saum gerundet sind, habe ich dabei vernachlässigt und nur beachtet, dass es an der Seitennaht stimmt und dass die Teile genau im Bogental aufeinandertreffen. Beim fertigen Kleid fällt nicht auf, dass der Saum nicht perfekt rund ist.

I will only explain a few things that were different with the red dress.
 
Since I had a few kilos more a year ago, I had to add an additional 1 cm to the side seam from the armhole down to the waist. Now the dress is a bit too wide and I will probably take it in a little at the side seam.
 
I chose the wider skirt version for my dress.

I placed the pattern pieces, so that the scaloped edge of the lace forms the skirt hem. I neglected the fact, that the hem of the pattern is rounded and only made sure that it matched on the side seam and that the scalopes continue troughout the hem. In the finished dress it is not noticeable that the hem is not perfectly round.


Nach dem Muslin hatte ich den abstehenden hinteren Ausschnitt abgeändert, aber übersehen, dass der vordere Ausschnitt ebenfalls absteht.

Deshalb musste ich etwas mogeln und beim Unterkleid eine horizontale Falte abnähen. Man sieht es nicht, da es durch das Spitzenkleid verdeckt ist. Beim Spitzenkleid hatte ich dieses Problem nicht, da die Spitze etwas nachgibt und weniger steif ist, als der Satin. Bei meinem blauen Spitzenkleid, habe ich das Schnittmuster dann abgeändert.

After the muslin, I modified the gaping rear neckline, but overlooked the fact that the front neckline also was gaping.
 
So I had to cheat a little and sew a horizontal fold in the underdress. You cannot see it, because it is covered by the lace dress. I don't have this problem with the lace dress because the lace is smother. I changed the pattern of my blue lace dress accordingly.
Den Schnitt habe ich um 12 cm verlängert.

Das Kleid gefällt mir sehr gut und ich fühle mich sehr weiblich darin. Der Satin ist etwas dunkler als die Spitze, deshalb sieht man das Spitzenmuster besser als beim blauen Kleid.

I like the dress very much and I feel very feminine in it. Because the satin is a little darker than the lace you can see the lace structure better than of the blue dress.

Beide Stoffe waren angenehm zu verarbeiten und von guter Qualität.

Polyester-Spitze 2.5 m  Buttinette (restlos alles aufgebraucht)
Polyester Satin 2.0 m von Buttinette

Both fabrics were pleasant to work with and of good quality.
